In the role of Commissioning Engineer for Medium Gas
Turbines New Unit, you’ll work at a customer job site(s) primarily in the US or
Canada, and globally when needed.
A Commissioning Engineer mobilizes the customer job site
once the installation phase reaches mechanical completion whereupon the Site
Installation Team hands over the responsibility to the Commissioning Team. The
Commissioning Team normally comprise of three team members at the customer job
site. The commissioning engineers works more self-sustained, performing cable
loop-checks, control cubicle installations, control system updating and
testing, generator synchronization, Gas Turbine start-up, reliability tests and
EHS governance. The commissioning engineer participates in customer meetings
and interacts with the project team in Sweden on progress reporting, technical
support, and other relevant activities.
This role requires a dedicated training program to become a
certified Siemens Energy CE. Training is conducted partly in the US and in
Sweden.

What You Bring
- High School
diploma, GED or technical vocational or apprenticeship training, combined
with prior control field service or equivalent related experience.
- 2+ years’
experience in the field or shop; instrumentation and control systems and
PLC’s experience is required.
- Previous Gas
Turbine knowledge and experience is which is advantageous, but not
strictly required.
- Experience
working in the field within industry with focus on mechanical and/or
electrical work is required.
- Experience managing/leading
small teams, which is a plus, but not required.
- Must be willing
to travel and work both in the US/Canada and globally for 10-12 weeks at a
time (occasionally longer. Typically, the role is on active assignments
about 250 days per year)

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power

generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.

may be based in various locations across the United States. Siemens Energy

salary range for this position varies by location. For positions based in the
United States, the base salary range is $88K to $130K and the annual
incentive target is 10% of base salary.
Specific
offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills,
certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at
the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s
qualifications.
