Job Details:
• Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Available all days of the week
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs
• On-call required per unit needs, approximately 1-3 shifts per 6 weeks
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Float to other OB units required
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Scrubs provided
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• Additional certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, C-EFM
• Unit includes 6 LDR rooms, 10 postpartum beds with capability of swinging 2 to LDR, 2 ORs, OBED, and 6 SCN beds
• Patient diagnoses include LDR, postpartum, and SCN to 34 weeks including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and cesarean section care
• Care provided for higher-risk mothers including those on Magnesium Sulfate, preterm labor, and related conditions
• Patient age groups include neonates and adults
• Daily census of 10-12 patients
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
• RTO not allowed during the following blackout periods: June 28 – July 9, 2026; September 2 – September 12, 2026; October 25 – November 4, 2026; November 22 – December 2, 2026; December 20 – January 3, 2027
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• Completion of all facility-specific modules required within the first week of assignment

This facility is a well-established health system offering comprehensive obstetric and neonatal care services. The OB unit emphasizes teamwork, evidence-based practice, and family-centered care across its labor and delivery, postpartum, and special care nursery departments. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and more.
