Job Details:
• Position located at Pacific Campus, a Pavilion for Women and Children with comprehensive maternity services and Level II NICU
• 12-hour shifts with day and night patient ratios of 1:3
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• Clinician may be called off for 1 twelve-hour shift per 2-week period
• Float required to Family Maternity Center/Postpartum (babies only)
• Travel experience required - no first-time travelers accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience required
• No local candidates accepted (50-mile radius rule applies)
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Patient population includes neonates 22 weeks and greater gestation
• Patient diagnoses include prematurity, BPD, NOWS, hyperbilirubinemia, feeding immaturity, and ROP exams
• No surgeries, ostomies, or trachs performed on unit
• Equipment includes conventional ventilators, high frequency oscillators, high frequency jet ventilators, bubble CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and nasal cannula
• Scrub color: any color permitted except reddish orange
• Charting system: Epic
• Parking cost covered by facility
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Facility:
This facility is a Level II Trauma Center with 571 total staffed beds across two campuses. The Pacific Campus serves as a dedicated Pavilion for Women and Children, offering comprehensive maternity services and a Level II NICU. The facility provides robust interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretarial support.
