Opportunity:
RN - Med/Surg Telemetry
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday shifts required
• Patient ratio of 1:6 on a 36-bed unit
• Telemetry rhythm interpretation skills required
• Perform PICC line removal and vas cath/temp cath removal procedures
• Utilize telemetry monitors, Dynamaps, glucometers, iMobile phones, and bladder scanners
• Document using Meditech electronic health record system
• Complete hourly rounding, bedside shift report, My Care Boards, and AIDET communication
• Float to other units as needed per facility policy
• Strong nursing background with thorough assessment skills and attention to detail required
• Must demonstrate positive attitude, flexibility, dependability, teamwork, and ability to multitask
• Must be able to manage stressful situations and possess strong communication skills
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Required dress code: Ceil Blue Scrubs

This facility is a Pathways to Excellence Certified medical center and serves as a Certified Stroke Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, and Level II Trauma Center. The unit has been recognized as an HCA Unit of Distinction winner and maintains high employee engagement scores along with strong quality and core measures. The staff is highly experienced, with many nurses holding national certifications, and the unit utilizes advanced technology including iMobile devices, Dynamaps integrated with the documentation system, and an advanced call light system.
