Job Description:
The Senior IT, Security Specialist would oversee the protection, handling, and compliance of sensitive government information. Develop policies, manage training, and implement IT security controls to meet DFARS/CMMC requirements acting as the central point for internal and external audits and risk management.
Essential Functions:
- Documentation Management: Lead the creation and maintenance of the System Security Plan (SSP) and the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M). Requirements traceability matrix’s.
- Audit Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for C3PAO (Third-Party Assessment Organizations) and manage formal assessments.
- Risk Remediation: Oversee the closing of security gaps identified during internal or external readiness assessments
- Continuous Monitoring: Conduct regular system audits (inventory control and cyber audits), incident response testing, and ongoing policy enforcement
- Personnel Security : Develop and deliver role-based security training
- Microsoft Office Suite and tools: Experience with the Office suite of tools Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, OneNote, SharePoint
- Scan Compliance : Nessus and SCAP scanning, results remediation tracking
