Direct Hire | Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts
A community-focused healthcare facility in Show Low, AZ is seeking an experienced Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. This role is ideal for an RN with strong cardiac and neurological skills who is comfortable working in a telemetry-heavy setting and floating as needed.
Position Overview
- Permanent, full-time position
- 12-hour shifts
- 24-bed Med Surg unit with telemetry capability on all beds
- Heavy telemetry patient population
- Ability to float across Med Surg units and ICU (Med Surg overflow patients only)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to adult Med Surg and telemetry patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Perform neurological assessments and respond to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Float to other Med Surg units and ICU as needed (Med Surg level patients)
- Provide pediatric care only if PALS certified
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR
- Ensure adherence to patient safety and quality standards
Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience (Required)
- Strong neuro and cardiac clinical skills (Required)
- Experience in Med Surg and Telemetry settings
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to floating
Licensure & Certifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (Required)
- PALS certification (Preferred; required for pediatric assignments)
Unit & Facility Details
- 24-bed Med Surg unit with telemetry capability on all beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratios:
- Days: 1:5
- Nights: 1:6
- Pediatrics: 1:4 (based on acuity)
- Patient population: Adults and Pediatrics (peds assigned based on certification)
- Support staff includes Tele techs, charge nurses, HUCs, and PCTs
- No dedicated IV team
- Nurse managers do not take patient assignments but provide oversight and rounding
- Hospitalist, Respiratory Therapy, and Pharmacy available 24/7
- EMR: Sunrise Allscripts
- Scrub color: any color except all black (scrubs not provided)

- Full-time
- 12-hour shifts
- 36-hour weekly guarantee (with up to 3 cancellations)
