We are seeking an experienced RN Shift Manager (Telemetry) to lead a dynamic unit in a fast-paced hospital environment. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for strong clinicians with recent charge experience.
🚨 Key Requirements
- BLS (AHA) – Required
- ACLS (AHA) – Required
- NIHSS (AHA or APEX) – Required
- Recent Charge RN experience (last assignment) – Required
- No first-time travelers
🏥 Role Overview
- Position Type: Nurse Shift Manager (Leadership Role)
- Responsible for unit operations during assigned shift
- Act as a clinical and administrative leader
- Support staff, patient care coordination, and workflow management
🔍 Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of Telemetry unit
- Supervise and support nursing staff during shift
- Ensure high-quality patient care and safety standards
- Assist with staff assignments, escalations, and critical situations
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and protocols
📚 Orientation & Onboarding
- 3 Weeks Total Orientation
- Week 1: Classroom training
- Weeks 2–3: Unit-based orientation
📅 Schedule & Additional Info
- Night shifts with EOW requirement
- First to float based on unit needs
- Manager interviews required prior to offer
💰 Pay Structure
- Overtime (OT) paid after 8 hours/day
- OT billed after 40 hours/week
- Blended structure:
- 24 regular hours + 12 OT hours per week
