Qualifications:
Physical Therapy Assistant certification required
Experience working with children preferred
Valid Oregon driver’s license required
Reliable, insured transportation required, as this position may involve travel between schools/districts
Ability to maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively, and collaborate with school teams
Role Overview:
As a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help carry out therapy programs and interventions for students. This role includes supporting students with physical needs, assisting with therapy activities, documenting progress, and collaborating with staff, families, and other professionals to help students meet their goals. The position may involve travel throughout the service area to support students in multiple school settings.

Pay:
Estimated to be between $30-$40+ Per Hour
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out therapy activities and intervention programs under the direction of the supervising Physical Therapist
Observe and gather information related to students’ physical and functional needs
Assist with developmental screenings as requested by the supervising PT
Prepare materials and support individual therapy programs based on student goals
Collaborate with teachers, specialists, families, and school staff to support student progress
Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
Support use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology to promote student independence
Participate in IFSP/IEP meetings and team collaboration as directed
Travel between school sites as needed to provide services
