**Exciting Opportunity for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse!**
**Job Description:**
- **Unit:** L&D RN
- **Specialty:** Labor and Delivery
- **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- **Years of Experience:** Minimum 2 years (consideration for candidates with at least 1.5 years of experience)
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver exceptional care in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery unit.
- Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage with confidence and expertise.
- Manage care for a variety of diagnoses including labor, induction, preeclampsia, and more.
- Utilize your skills in amnioinfusion, high-risk delivery assistance, and C-section circulation.
- Oversee neonatal care, ensuring optimal thermoregulation and metabolic screenings.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
**Essential Skills:**
- Required:
- Proficient in sterile vaginal exams and triage.
- Experience with fetal monitoring and recognition of abnormal patterns.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (Epic).
- Preferred:
- Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP.
- Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and administration of blood/products.
**Work Environment:**
- Patient Ratio: 1:2 (Days/Nights/Weekends)
- Average daily census: 6-8 deliveries.
- Total Beds: 15
- Dynamic and supportive team atmosphere.
**Schedule Details:**
- Floating required to mother-baby unit.
- Weekend coverage: Every other weekend (may exceed to meet unit needs).
- Orientation Hours: 36 hours.
