**Join Our Team as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse!**
**Job Description:**
- **Position:** L&D RN
- **Unit:**
- Labor and Delivery
- Handle various patient age groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults
- Daily Census: Average 6-8 deliveries per day
- **Shift:**
- Night shift: 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend, may exceed to meet unit need
- **Experience Required:**
- Minimum 2 years experience preferred
- Candidates with at least 1.5 years will be considered
- **Certifications Required:**
- ACLS
- AWHONN Advanced (HARDSTOP)
- BLS
- NRP
- **Charting System:**
- Epic experience required
- **Essential Skills and Responsibilities:**
- Must perform sterile vaginal exams independently and without supervision (HARDSTOP)
- Expertise in triage processes (HARDSTOP)
- Competence in IV therapy/Phlebotomy and administration of blood & blood products
- Manage labor and delivery, including assisting with high-risk deliveries and C-section circulation
- Provide neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scores and baby identification
- Support antepartum and postpartum care procedures
- Familiarity with various medications and administration processes
- Ability to float to mother-baby unit if required
- **Patient Ratios:**
- Days, Nights, Weekends: 1:2
- **Orientation Hours:**
- 36 hours
- **Interdisciplinary Support:**
- Collaborate with Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and more
- **Additional Requirements:**
- Open to working weekends and potential floating between related units
- Scheduling preferences may be considered but are not guaranteed
- Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 request
