Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies
- Perform rapid assessments, triage patients, and prioritize care based on acuity levels
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status
- Assist with trauma cases, resuscitations, and emergency procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency environment
Requirements
- Active RN License in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification required
- PALS Certification preferred
- TNCC Certification preferred
- Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency environment
