Apprentice Machinist
to join our Tooling Group. We are looking for individuals who desire to do precision work, learn a skill which is in high demand, and to grow professionally in a career within our employee-owned company.

Responsibilities:
Read prints & job orders to determine dimensions and machine set-up
Set-up and operate various machining equipment such as manual and CNC lathes, mills and/or surface grinders in order to machine or grind components to precise customer specifications
Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media.
Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications using precision measuring devices (such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc..)
Attend on-site apprenticeship classes in addition to on-the-job learning while performing responsibilities on the shop floor
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Have excellent math & mechanical skills/aptitude
The ability & desire to do precision work
Previous experience with lathes, mills and/or surface grinders is preferred, but not required
Knowledge of blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers strongly preferred, but not required
Candidates must be able to work primarily daylight but available to work non-daylight shifts as needed
Candidates must be able to lift up to 40 lbs., and stand 8-10 hours per day
