Apprentice Plumber Performs a gradually increasing percentage of journey-level duties while learning the plumbing trade as a regularly indentured apprentice. Apprentices assist in the assembly, installation and repair of pipes and fittings and fixtures of heating, water, drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes. Will test pipes and fixtures using water and air to detect and locate leaks. Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles using hand power tools. Hang steel supports from ceiling joints to hold pipes in place. Install underground storm, sanitary, and water piping systems. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Qualification:
High School diploma or equivalent 3 years plumbing, 2 years in multifamily/commercial plumbing Osha 10-hour certificate would be helpful First aid certificate would be helpful
