Job Details:
• Position available through end of September only
• First-time travel nurses accepted
• Patient ratios: 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on patient acuity
• Float to all units with only patients under age 2 on pediatric units
• Weekend coverage required - every other weekend or as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Epic charting system experience required
• Valid WA or Compact RN license required at submission
• Extensive NICU skills required including ventilator management, central line care, arterial line management, high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide administration, and neonatal medication calculations
• Care for neonates 29+ weeks gestational age in Level III and IV NICU settings
• Travelers float first before staff
• Must complete non-billable modules averaging 16 hours pre-start and annually
• Maximum one job per submittal allowed
• Two professional references required covering 1 year within last 3 years
Facility:
This is a 629-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital that serves as both a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. The facility features a 61-bed NICU with a daily census of 52 patients and comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams. The organization maintains high standards for neonatal care with advanced equipment and specialized staff to handle complex cases requiring intensive monitoring and intervention.
