Job Details:
• Level One Trauma experience required
• Minimum 2 years ICU/Telemetry experience with medical/surgical trauma/critical patients
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Patient ratios: 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Must work minimum of 6 weekend shifts per schedule period
• Float required to ICU and stepdown units
• May travel to IR, MRI, or CT departments
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Kentucky or Compact license required and must be in hand
• Adult patient population with 44-bed unit capacity
• Self-scheduling system
• Care for patients with sepsis, GI bleed, DKA, multi-system organ failure, pneumonia, overdose, respiratory failure, and acute renal failure
• Skills required include arterial line management, ventilator management, blood product administration, central line care, continuous IV sedation, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, and pharmacy
• RTO requests must be presented at time of submission and cannot be requested after assignment starts
• For first 2 weeks, only single days off can be requested; longer time off available after 2 weeks
• No holiday RTO accepted
• Compliance requirements include multiple exams and competency assessments
