**Exciting Opportunity for an Oncology Registered Nurse!**
**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Oncology RN
- **Shift:** Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)
- Possible shifts include:
- 7:45-16:15
- 8:00-16:30
- 8:30-17:00
- 9:00-17:30
- 9:30-18:00
- **Experience:** Minimum of 1 year in an oncology setting
- **Patient Demographics:** Adults and Geriatrics
- **Daily Census:** 6 Infusions plus 1-2 port draws
- **Number of Beds:** 20
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Administer chemotherapy
- Continuous infusion of chemotherapy
- Monitor chemotherapy administration
- Perform oral administration of chemotherapy
- Provide IV therapy and infusions
- Administer blood and blood products
- Care for and manage ports
- Central line and implanted line care
- Respond to oncologic emergencies:
- Acute tumor lysis syndrome
- Anaphylaxis
- Extravasation injury
- Hemorrhage
- Sepsis
- Spinal cord compression
**Professional Knowledge and Skills:**
- Chest tube care and management
- Neutropenic precautions
- Symptom management:
- Altered mental status
- Constipation/diarrhea
- Dysphagia
- Edema
- Nausea/vomiting
- Neuropathy
**Certifications Required:**
- BLS
- Oncology Certified (ONCC or ONS)
**Additional Information:**
- Charting System: Epic (preferred)
- Special Equipment: Alaris Infusion Pumps, CADD Ambulatory Pumps
- First-time travelers are welcome!
- Weekends are not required
- No call required
- Locals accepted
- Please submit all requested time off (RTO) at the time of application
- Guaranteed Hours: 40-hour contract approved
