**Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab!**
- **Position:** Registered Nurse
- **Specialty:** Cath Lab
- **Experience Required:** 1 year
- **Travel Experience:** Not required
- **Shift:** Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
- **Orientation Hours:** 40
- **Call Required:** Yes
- **Patient Age Groups:** Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- **Daily Census:** 25-30 cases/day
- **Number of Rooms:** 8
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Utilize professional knowledge and skills in various procedures including:
- Activated Clotting Time (ACT)
- Cardioversion*
- Circulate Procedures*
- Sheath Removal/Monitoring*
- Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures (e.g., IABP Placement/Removal*)
- Administer medications:
- Antiarrhythmics
- IV vasopressors
- Thrombolytics
- Monitor procedural sedation and manage dysrhythmias*
- Participate in Electrophysiology Procedures:
- Cardiac Ablation*
- Pacemaker Insertion*
- Arrhythmia Induction*
**Qualifications:**
- Must hold certifications in:
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Familiarity with Epic charting system is essential
- Skills in:
- Infection Prevention
- Isolation Precautions/PPE
- Radiation and Laser Safety
- Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG
**Preferred Skills:**
- Experience in:
- Endovascular Interventions*
- Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose)*
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)*
- Carotid Stenting*
Join us for 4-10 hour shifts, and prepare for overnight, weekend, and holiday call requirements. Experience in Electrophysiology is a plus, and first-time travelers are welcome!
