Job Details:
• Work 3x12 night shifts with weekends required
• Maintain 4:1 patient ratios on nights and weekends
• Float required within scope to meet facility needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must have at least 2 years of experience in emergency departments seeing 100+ patients daily with 4:1 ratios
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must be experienced with high-volume emergency department operations
• Care for patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, IV sedation, trauma care, phlebotomy, procedural sedation, IV starts, and triage
• Self-scheduling system
• Complete pre-start modules averaging 16 hours (non-billable)
• Must provide 2 professional references covering 1 year within last 3 years
Facility:
This healthcare facility operates a high-volume emergency department with 22 rooms and 30 beds, treating approximately 95 patient visits daily. The facility provides comprehensive emergency services for all age groups and maintains extensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The emergency department handles a wide range of cases from routine care to complex trauma situations.
