Opportunity:
ICU/TELE - Trauma Level I Experience Required
Job Details:
• Must have Level One Trauma experience and teaching hospital experience required
• Minimum 2 years ICU/TELE experience with medical/surgical trauma/critical patients
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• KY or Compact license required (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Patient ratios: 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Must work minimum of 6 weekend shifts per schedule period
• Float required to ICU and stepdown units
• May travel to IR, MRI or CT for patient care
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including sepsis, GI bleed, DKA, multi-system organ failure, pneumonia, overdose, respiratory failure, and acute renal failure
• Skills required include arterial line management, ventilator management, blood product administration, central line care, CVVHD/CRRT, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Must complete compliance requirements including EKG onboarding exam, advanced math, med/pharmacology exam, general ICU competency exam, and trauma ICU competency exam
• RTO requests must be made at time of submission - only single days off for first 2 weeks, longer time off after
• Local travelers within 100 miles not accepted
• No license hits accepted

This major healthcare system operates as a Level I trauma center and teaching hospital, providing comprehensive critical care services. The facility features a 44-bed ICU with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, lift teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and requires extensive competency validation for all nursing staff working in their trauma and critical care units.
