Job Title

Travel RN – Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)

Location

Birmingham, Alabama

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit serving neurological and intensive care patients
Manage critically ill patients at ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on acuity
Operate and monitor advanced ICU equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, and central venous lines
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Cerner EMR
Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
Current ACLS certification
Current BLS certification
Proficiency with ICU equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, and central venous lines

Preferred Experience / Skills

Neurology or neuro-intensive care experience
Familiarity with Cerner EMR
