Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 17-bed Emergency Department serving a primarily adult and geriatric population, with some pediatric patients
- Efficiently and safely manage a patient assignment at a 1:4 ratio across varying acuity levels
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient status, including common presentations such as chest pain, abdominal pain, and behavioral health concerns
- Collaborate with the care team in a self-scheduling environment using a scheduling application
- Document patient care accurately using the ED Paragon electronic health record system
- Participate in every-other-weekend rotation unless assigned opposite a dedicated weekender
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Minimum 2–3 years of Emergency Department experience
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Current ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel status
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ED Paragon or similar emergency department EHR platforms
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-acuity patients independently and as part of a team
- Collaborative, adaptable, and team-oriented personality with a hardworking and friendly approach
