Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
- Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
- Perform drug titration and manage telemetry monitoring for medical and medical-telemetry patients, including those with developmental delays
- Float on a rotational basis as required; orient on day shift prior to beginning night shift schedule
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license meeting eligibility requirements for licensure in the state of Missouri, or currently licensed in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start date
- Demonstrated experience and competence in drug titration
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
- Familiarity with telemetry equipment, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, and lift equipment
- Determined, decisive, and flexible personality well-suited to a fast-paced inpatient environment
