Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift (5x8 Hours, 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Weekends and holidays as needed | On-call with 30-minute response required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients in the operating room setting
- Respond to on-call assignments within a 30-minute response time as required
- Float to other units as needed to support staffing requirements
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC electronic health records
- Care for a diverse patient population, which may include COVID-positive patients
- Adhere to all facility policies, including tobacco-free and fragrance-free guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with no license violations accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or ARC only
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
- Ability to fulfill on-call obligations with a 30-minute response requirement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Strong familiarity with perioperative workflows and scrub or circulating roles
- Experience working in a high-acuity or trauma-level operating room environment
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to floating assignments across related units
