Contract | 26 Weeks | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | 2 Holiday Shifts Required | 72 Guaranteed Hours Biweekly
Key Responsibilities
- Perform triage assessments and provide immediate care to patients presenting with emergent and urgent medical conditions
- Deliver nursing care within a high-volume, Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department
- Accurately document patient assessments, care plans, and medication administration using Epic electronic health records
- Provide care across a large, state-of-the-art ED environment including private treatment rooms, fast-track area, and behavioral health suite
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records required
- Must not have been employed (permanent, per diem, or contract) with the hiring health system within the past 6 months
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in high-volume or academic medical center emergency departments
- Strong triage assessment skills in a fast-paced trauma environment
