Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in labor and delivery, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
- Perform fetal heart monitoring and high-risk pregnancy monitoring in labor and antepartum settings
- Manage patients across antepartum, labor/high-risk, and triage areas
- Float to postpartum as needed to support unit staffing, including couplet care (maternal and newborn)
- Participate in newborn care at delivery when applicable
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience; first-time travelers not accepted
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or NCC EFM certification
- ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- LA Fire Card obtained within the last 30 days
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with postpartum couplet care (maternal and newborn)
- Ability to perform newborn role at delivery
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
