Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Nights & Every Other Weekend (36 hrs.)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, 65-bed pod-based Emergency Department serving approximately 230 visits per day
- Perform general ED nursing skills including patient assessment, IV placement, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, and splinting
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC ASAP EMR
- Deliver care across all patient populations, including pediatric and acute mental health patients in dedicated pods
- Maintain a 1:4 clinician-to-patient ratio and exercise strong critical thinking and patient education skills
- Float to other areas as needed and participate in occasional day shift rotation when requested
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Proficiency with general ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, and splinting
- Ability to float and participate in low-frequency day shift rotation when requested
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
- Prior experience with EPIC ASAP charting system
