Registered Nurse – NICU (Neonatal ICU)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level III NICU setting
- Monitor and assess the condition of critically ill newborns, responding promptly to changes in patient status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication assessments during orientation with acceptable passing scores
- Adhere to facility compliance requirements, including annual modules and competency assessments
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of recent Neonatal Level III experience
- Active, permanent Ohio RN license or a Compact State RN license in hand at time of submission
- Active BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (no pending renewals)
- No open license hits or open background case findings
- Two professional references from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the NICU specialty, from assignments within the past 12 months
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 18 months of NICU experience obtained within a single facility
- Familiarity with ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration protocols
