Key Responsibilities
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team
- Provide direct nursing care to ICU patients including cardiac, trauma, and neurological cases
- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system to document and manage patient information accurately
- May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
- Participate in orientation as scheduled prior to assignment start
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
- Active RN license – Iowa license required; Compact license accepted
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association required
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
- Valid Driver's License required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred; will be required if assignment is extended
- Experience with cardiac, trauma, and/or neurological patient populations
