Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Sun–Sat) | Onsite | Standby required approximately 4 times per month (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients in the operating room setting
- Administer and monitor moderate/conscious sedation in accordance with facility protocols
- Support surgical procedures across multiple specialties including podiatry, plastics, ENT, urology, GYN, and pain management
- Accurately document patient care activities and assessments using EPIC electronic health records
- Participate in scheduled standby shifts as required by the facility
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN license in hand at time of submission (Temporary or Permanent; no EMSA)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (must be AHA-issued)
- Minimum 1.5 years of continuous Operating Room experience
- Demonstrated moderate/conscious sedation experience (required)
- EPIC experience, or combined EPIC/Cerner experience, within the last 6 months of work history
- Minimum 1 year of total travel nursing experience, with at least 6 months of continuous travel experience leading up to submission with no gaps exceeding allowable onboarding or pre-approved vacation periods
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience across multiple OR specialties including podiatry, plastics, ENT, urology, GYN, and pain
- Familiarity with travel nursing compliance requirements and multi-specialty perioperative environments
