Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of NICU patients, delivering competent and compassionate nursing care.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations, and intervene as necessary.
- Administer medications as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting all changes in physician orders.
- Interact with patients and families to communicate the care plan during hospitalization and at discharge.
- Delegate tasks to support staff and make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Oklahoma RN license or current multistate compact RN license.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- NRP certification through the American Heart Association; Advanced NRP required.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience working in a NICU or similar high-acuity neonatal care environment.
