Contract | Days (0700–1930) | 3×12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for critically ill patients under the direction of a licensed physician
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process
- Float to various units including step-down, IMCU, and ED for ICU holds/borders as assigned; orientation provided for all float assignments
- Manage complex ICU patient populations, which may include patients with preeclampsia, eclampsia, hypertensive conditions, hyperemesis, and postpartum hemorrhage when assigned to applicable units
- Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care in accordance with standards of nursing practice and departmental policies and procedures
- Maintain patient ratios not exceeding 1:3 across any assigned unit
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of ICU experience; new graduates will not be considered
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
