Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 or 48-hour contract options available | Every other weekend required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult medical and surgical patients, including those receiving oncology and palliative care treatment
- Care for urology and telemetry patients within a 29-bed unit
- Perform and assist with specialized procedures including central line draws, port access, blood administration, PCA pump management, bone marrow aspiration assistance, and Pleurx chest tube care
- Deliver family education related to oncological processes and palliative care
- Float within scope of practice to meet unit needs as required
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Active WV or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ONS or ONCC certification required
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring
- Permanent address greater than 100 miles from facility (75–100 miles considered on a case-by-case basis)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Chemotherapy administration experience
- Prior oncology nursing experience (strong candidates without oncology experience will be considered)
- Familiarity with Cerner charting system
