Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend, rotating holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical unit with patient ratios of 1:6, with occasional 1:7 during surge
- Perform procedures including continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), wound care, drain management (chest tubes, Jackson-Pratt drains), Foley insertion, and central line dressing changes
- Monitor telemetry and perform EKGs as needed
- Conduct bedside shift reports, hourly safety rounding, and personal connections in accordance with patient experience standards
- Document patient care using Meditech Expanse electronic health records system
- Float to units of the same level of care as required per staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- IV certification required
- Demonstrated Medical Surgical nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech Expanse documentation system
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a Med-Surg environment
- Experience with self-scheduling workflows in a hospital unit setting
