Contract | Night Shift | Monday–Friday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend on alternate unit | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care for admission hold patients including medication administration (IV and PO), pending orders, and admission database documentation
- Deliver basic care to discharge-pending patients including PO medication and pain management, blood sugar monitoring, nourishment, complex toileting assistance, and oxygen administration via nasal cannula
- Manage a patient population that includes admission hold, medical observation overflow, and discharge-pending patients at a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Administer standard medical-surgical drips such as heparin and Lasix as ordered
- Collaborate with charge nurse and one CNA per shift to ensure safe, effective patient care
- Float to a medical-surgical unit when census is low
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
- Current BLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
- Must reside within a 75-mile radius of the facility per client policy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Cardiac nursing experience or familiarity with cardiac patient care
- Experience with admission workflows and discharge coordination in an inpatient setting
