Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, fellow nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patients' conditions, treatments, and progress; report changes or concerns promptly to appropriate team members
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to facility policies and protocols
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote overall wellness
- Teach and direct clinical support staff, including LPNs and Medical Assistants, in the performance of delegated acts for implementation of the therapeutic plan of care
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing
- Prior nursing experience required; new graduates will not be considered at this time
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current ACLS certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient and facility information
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a medical-surgical or internal medicine clinical setting
- Familiarity with nursing process documentation and electronic medical records
- Experience directing or mentoring LPNs or Medical Assistants in a clinical environment
