Contract | Nights | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department serving approximately 230 visits per day
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG interpretation, cardiac monitoring, and point-of-care testing
- Deliver care across all patient populations, including pediatric patients and those presenting with acute mental health needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC ASAP EMR
- Provide patient and family education throughout the care continuum
- Float to other areas within the department as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency in general ED nursing skills including splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
- Ability to maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification strongly preferred
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification strongly preferred
- Prior experience with EPIC ASAP charting system
