Contract | Travel | Days – 3x12 | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans within a combined Medical Surgical ICU and Stepdown unit
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition changes to the appropriate members of the healthcare team
- Serve as the primary coordinator across all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Float to other areas of the unit as needed based on census and acuity
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of ICU or Medical Surgical ICU experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Ability to float as needed within the unit
- Availability to work weekend hours as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Familiarity with Spacelab bedside monitoring equipment
- Experience caring for stepdown patients in addition to ICU-level acuity
