Contract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Medical Surgical ICU setting, managing adult and pediatric patients (15+) with diagnoses including respiratory failure, ARDS, MODS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, GI bleeds, and general/cancer-specific surgeries
- Titrate drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
- Manage and monitor lines and devices including CVPs, A-lines, Swans, EV-1000, and ICP monitoring
- Read and interpret cardiac telemetry using Draeger heart monitoring with centralized telemetry; no monitor techs on unit
- Collaborate with attending physicians, fellows, and residents to deliver high-quality, team-based patient care
- Float to all inpatient units as needed, excluding Maternity/NICU
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Ability to read and interpret cardiac monitor strips independently
- Must comply with facility fingernail policy — artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
- Must successfully pass an open-book skills orientation exam with a minimum score of 90%
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with CRRT, Impella, or intra-aortic balloon pump
- Familiarity with neuro-interventional procedures or thrombectomy programs
- Experience with hypothermia protocols (e.g., Zoll Thermoguard) or rapid transfusion devices
