Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU / Stepdown)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 22-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Monitor and manage cardiac patients including observation, post cardiac catheterization, and cardioversion patients
- Utilize telemetry equipment to continuously assess and respond to changes in patient condition
- Document patient care accurately using the Paragon electronic health record system
- Float to other units as required to support staffing needs
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality care to an adult patient population
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a stepdown, PCU, or ICU setting
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) at minimum
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with cardiac observation and post-procedural cardiac patient populations
- Familiarity with Paragon EHR
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
