Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Neuro)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Neuro Stepdown unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications safely in accordance with facility protocols and pass required medication competency assessments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support neurological patient populations
- Participate in holiday rotation, working at minimum every other holiday as required
- Complete all required facility orientation modules, onsite badging, and fingerprinting prior to start date
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in Neuro Stepdown or a directly related specialty
- Active permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State license in hand at time of submission (Compact licenses accepted for starts dated 1/1/23 and forward)
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification
- Active ACLS certification
- Active NIHSS certification
- Must achieve an acceptable score on both the ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation (maximum of 2 attempts permitted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PCU or Progressive Care Unit experience
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Neuro Stepdown setting
