Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) setting during night shift hours
- Monitor and assess patients requiring a level of care between general medical-surgical and intensive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
- Document patient assessments, care provided, and clinical outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate care appropriately as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an IMC, PCU, or Step-Down unit
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS may be required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in an intermediate or step-down care setting
- Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and telemetry in an IMCU environment
- Experience in a large acute care or regional medical center
