Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care in a Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab setting, supporting interventional and procedural cases
- Assist with cardiac catheterization, STEMI response, stent placement, and peripheral vascular procedures
- Support EP Lab procedures as well as interventional radiology, biopsies, and GI/GU/Renal cases
- Administer blood and blood products, perform cardioversion/defibrillation, and operate syringe pumps and cooling/warming blankets
- Obtain and interpret 12-Lead EKGs as required during procedures
- Fulfill on-call requirements, including a minimum of one weekday and one weekend per month, with shift hours varying based on staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or a related interventional/procedural specialty
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Demonstrated competency in blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, 12-Lead EKG acquisition, syringe pump operation, and cooling/warming blanket use
- Must not be a first-time traveler; prior travel nursing experience required
- Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience across multiple interventional areas including EP Lab, peripheral vascular, and GI/GU/Renal procedures
- Familiarity with STEMI protocols and high-acuity cardiac interventional environments
