Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Four 10-hour shifts per shift week, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, plus on-call requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and record initial patient assessments, establish care priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs, and reassess systematically to identify trends requiring intervention.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized, measurable plan of care consistent with nursing standards; modify the plan based on patient outcomes and clinical findings.
- Perform Point of Care testing procedures and implement timely, documented nursing interventions appropriate to patient needs.
- Coordinate team assignments, delegate unit work appropriately, and follow up on delegated tasks to ensure quality and completeness of patient care.
- Participate in patient and family health education, discharge planning, and orientation of new staff or students on the unit.
- Maintain a professional, supportive attitude that promotes a positive work environment, patient safety, and continuous service improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
- Ability to fulfill on-call obligations of approximately 8–10 days per month, including 1–2 weekends per month.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or EP setting.
- Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age and type of patient population served in a cath lab environment.
- Strong communication and human relations skills that promote teamwork and patient satisfaction.
