Contract | Travel | 12-Week Assignment | Full-Time | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with a 4:1 patient ratio, with flexibility during acute surge periods
- Manage a diverse patient population including trauma, stroke, DKA, sepsis, and complex cardiac conditions
- Perform and assist with procedures including laceration repair, IO insertion, ultrasound-guided IV insertion, EKG, orthopedic trauma care, and psychiatric holding care
- Utilize protocol-based nursing practice to independently initiate patient workups including labs, EKG, imaging, and medications based on chief complaint
- Operate unit equipment including Alaris pumps, Pyxis, Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, and ultrasound for IV access
- Document accurately using Sunrise/Allscripts EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Proficiency with medical terminology and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated dependability and punctuality
Preferred Experience / Skills
- MOAB certification
- Strong proficiency in EKG interpretation
- Experience caring for patients with complex cardiac conditions or high-acuity comorbidities
