Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 hour weekly options available | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed intensive care unit serving adult surgical, oncology, and palliative care patients receiving chemotherapy
- Manage and monitor IV drips, which are required on all floors
- Float within scope to various units and campuses as needed to meet staffing demands, including higher acuity and med-surg patient assignments
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, paramedics, and LPNs
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements, including 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period and 2 out of 3 major holidays
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (pending Nebraska RN license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be booked six weeks out)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, specifically in a large, urban hospital setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC charting required
- Experience administering IV drips required
- Candidate must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center (may be considered in lieu of prior travel experience)
