Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting within an acute care hospital environment
- Participate in on-call rotations including primary and secondary weekday and weekend call shifts as required by department needs
- Accurately document patient care activities and clinical information using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with the surgical and cardiovascular care team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Float between facilities within the state as needed per assignment requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered California RN license (must be in hand prior to start; no pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
- Ability to fulfill on-call requirements: 2 primary and 2 secondary weekday calls (10:30 PM – 6:00 AM) and 2 primary and 2 secondary weekend calls (12-hour shifts) per 6-week call cycle
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience charting in Epic EMR
- Demonstrated flexibility with scheduling and on-call availability based on department needs
- Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiovascular or surgical specialty
