Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients throughout the night shift
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpreting fetal monitoring strips and escalating concerns appropriately
- Assist with labor support, vaginal deliveries, and cesarean section preparation and recovery
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and interventions
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of New York
- Current experience in Labor and Delivery or Maternity nursing
- BLS certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required or ability to obtain prior to start
- Ability to work night shifts across a Monday through Sunday work week
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor and Delivery or Maternity setting
- ACLS or AWHONN fetal monitoring certification
- Experience in a critical access or rural hospital environment
