Contract | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pregnant women, newborns, and gynecological surgical patients in an LDRP setting
- Perform obstetric triage and function as the primary delivery and newborn transition nurse
- Titrate drips including Pitocin and manage labor progression in accordance with AWHONN guidelines
- Monitor and interpret electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) using the OBIX system
- Serve as charge nurse as needed, taking a patient assignment as one of two nurses on shift
- Provide occasional floating assistance to med-surg as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (or eligibility) in the state of Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience with LDRP training
- Current ALS (ACLS) certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification
- Ability to triage OB patients and function independently as a delivery and newborn transition nurse
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a rural or critical access hospital environment
- Familiarity with the OBIX electronic fetal monitoring system
- Comfort working in a low-volume, high-acuity setting with limited ancillary support
