Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Labor & Delivery setting, including antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum stages
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and interdisciplinary staff to support individualized birthing preferences and clinical needs
- Monitor maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring and other bedside equipment throughout labor and delivery
- Assist with and support Cesarean births in a specialized operative environment as needed
- Deliver postpartum and mother-baby care, including lactation support and newborn assessment
- Participate in neonatal resuscitation and emergency response in accordance with NRP and STABLE protocols
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience required
- Postpartum (PP) and Mother-Baby (MB) experience required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Active Massachusetts RN License required
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Active STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, and Emotional Support) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a critical access or community hospital environment
- Familiarity with high-acuity obstetric cases and 24-hour anesthesia-supported delivery services
- Experience providing individualized lactation consulting and newborn care guidance
