Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a typical patient ratio of 1:6
- Monitor and assess patients, including telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Float to any Medical Surgical unit as needed based on facility staffing requirements
- Document patient care accurately using electronic health record systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient safety and positive outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical nursing experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
- Active Massachusetts RN license required
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification required
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Willingness to float to any Medical Surgical unit required
- Must have personal vehicle for this assignment
- Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system highly preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
